2020 Color Trends
Each year color trends lead the way in home design. This year we are seeing white, blush, orange, peacock, hunter green, and clay are leading the fore-front in design.
White
As a neutral color, white is a good base palate that will look good in any space. If you are going bright with art or furniture and you do not want to overwhelm the space, white is the way to go.
Blush
This color is not just for baby girl rooms anymore! We are seeing this color used in front doors, bathrooms, office spaces, and as accent colors for furniture.
Orange
Not the color you were expecting, right? This color is best used in moderation. For example it would pop on a front door or accent wall in a secondary bathroom.
Peacock
Dark, moody and broody! People were once afraid of jewel tones, but now they are taking center stage!
Hunter Green
Think accent wall, front door color, cabinets or a fun velvet couch! Green is a timeless color that exudes the outdoors and serenity.
Clay
A natural color that is warm and inviting. Sherwin Williams Color of the Year in 2019 was Cavern Clay. It is still a big hit and we know it will stay for a while!
Afraid to go bold with color on walls or cabinets? Smart small with accent pieces, whether it be a fun velvet couch, chair, a bold piece of art or temporary wallpaper. Color does not have to be intimidating and by using small accent pieces, they will be easy to switch out when you are not loving it.
